We believe that the purpose of a business is to generate incremental value collectively for all its stakeholders, including the local community and the larger global society. Our CSR and charitable initiatives uphold this belief and aim at creating a positive impact in the lives of those that need it the most. They include:
RASHID CENTRE FOR PEOPLE OF DETERMINATION
This is a non-profit humanitarian organisation committed to uplifting people of determination by providing quality education and therapy services. Through our Zakat Fund, GII was able to support the Centre by covering the cost of a new school bus and a new classroom, both fully equipped. GII also covered costs for the full payment of the educational needs of 15 students.
AMITY UNIVERSITY
This not-for-profit institute works with its Humanity Foundation to organise fundraising events that support educational efforts for underprivileged children. GII was a sponsor for the Amity Polo Cup to benefit the Al Jalila Foundation and its global healthcare philanthropic initiatives to support medical treatment for individuals unable to afford quality healthcare, provide scholarships to nurture a home-grown generation of medical professionals, and support ground-breaking research that addresses health challenges prevalent in the region: cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity and mental health.
AJMAN UNIVERSITY
As the first private university in the GCC, this pioneering institution is committed to championing higher standards of education and innovation. GII works with the university to provide financial sponsorship for students who are unable to afford the fees.
MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM HUMANITARIAN AND CHARITY ESTABLISHMENT
Created to encourage levels of collaboration and generosity that would provide a ‘decent life for mankind’, the Establishment aims to drive charitable activities that improve development, foster sustainability and provide vital relief, both locally and internationally. GII was honoured to join so many in contributing to their recent 100 Million Meals campaign during Ramadan which ended up donating over 200 million meals to disadvantaged people across 20 countries.
